State College, PA – KCF Technologies proudly announced the 10th anniversary of the annual Manufacturing the Future Summit, a premier event dedicated to celebrating exceptional achievements and innovations in the manufacturing industry. This year’s summit once again honored those who drive excellence and transformation in their respective fields, culminating in the presentation of six prestigious awards from over 700 global locations. Each award recipient was meticulously selected based on their outstanding contributions to the industry.

The Manufacturing the Future Summit began in 2014 with a tent behind KCF Technologies’ office, hosting about 50 industry peers. Ten years later, the event has grown to hosting over 350 industry peers at some of the best venues in State College, Pennsylvania. The award ceremony took place at Beaver Stadium, home of the Penn State Nittany Lions football team, which seats nearly 110,000 fans on any given Saturday during football season.

EDL Receives “Rookie of the Year Award”

The Rookie of the Year Award is a significant award at the Manufacturing the Future Summit. It is a testament to EDL being a leader of innovation in the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) sector. We are thrilled to see Jon and EDL win this award and recognize the great work they are doing. Their work aligns with our original dream that started 24 years ago to have a world with zero waste, zero injuries, and zero downtime.

Jeremy Frank, CEO & Co-founder
KCF Technologies

This year, the “Rookie of the Year Award” is proudly presented to EDL, recognizing Jon Pfarr, Regional Operations Manager. This award celebrates individuals who are change makers in their industry and recognize the opportunity to go fast and scale quickly while bringing a large amount of value to their organization.

KCF Technologies started working with EDL in December 2022, to pilot the KCF Technologies machine health platform in predictive maintenance and wear and tear failure identification at several EDL waste gas to renewable energy operations. The “aha” moment occurred in the first 90 days of piloting when the KCF Services Team caught a broken lubrication system in a new compressor. There was an increase in peak acceleration, which triggered KCF to reach out, calling out the need to inspect the compressor, associated shafts, bearings, and the lubrication system.

EDL has now partnered with KCF Technologies to deploy machine health platform at six waste gas to renewable energy plants across North America, to monitor piping, motors, shafts, and compressors.

Receiving the Rookie of the Year Award is an honor and testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire EDL North America team. Partnering with KCF Technologies has enabled us to enhance our operational efficiency and drive significant value across our sites.

Jon Pfarr, Regional Operations Manager
EDL

To date, EDL has enjoyed a 5.2x ROI for their continuous monitoring program, demonstrating the substantial impact of their efforts.
